Imagine you find a bakery that produces the best cookies in the world.
But, you're only limited to one cookie per day.
But that cookie is so wonderful that you know a thousand cookies a day wouldn't compare to even a crumb on your pretty cookie's head.
So you work hard to please your baker so they give you maybe 1/10th of a cookie more once in a while than they do normally...
But on some days, your baker gets tired and they don't want to give you a cookie that day so you plead and cry for that cookie that maybe they might relent and pass you just a crumb.
But they just shut their door and you sit outside in the rain and maybe the hottest sun, you get frostbite from the cold and dehydration from sitting out on the hottest day on earth but your baker sound proofs their walls so they don't have to hear what you say and when they finally come out they look at you in stony silence for the next two days and you make a fool out of yourself trying to woo the baker until they sigh and that sigh seems to pass through every crack of your heart, salting your various wounds and
making you feel like a disgrace and you start to loathe yourself as the baker simply tosses a few burnt crumbs towards you and you know they're poison and you know they're going to hurt your tummy later and you know that the baker didn't make them with as much love he always does but by GOD those feel like the best crumbs in the world and you pay them with all you have, every penny, every piece of jewellery, every drop of blood that is worth something but you're happy to give it to them and they pocket these things without a second glance and kick you with the corner of their shoe to throw you out of their shop again and tell you that you have never done them an ounce of good and that they don't even know why they still give your pathetic self more cookies when all you are is a leech who can do no good and only guzzles their cookies like an un-thankful being but you keep your head down because you know your baker is only a hard person to bear and you keep on hoping that tomorrow will be better even though you know that they fill their cookies with poison now, simply hoping to drive you away for some other customer who is worth their hard work but you sit stubbornly outside their bakery and refuse to leave until they soften and give you a good whole cookie and you smile with your wounded face and broken teeth because this was the cookie you had been waiting for and your wait was worth it but the next day the cycle of misery starts again until you have no face only wounded skin and no teeth but only sharp thorns of bone in your face because the cookies that you know are keeping you alive, they also kill you off inside and you know that but you can't bring your addicted self to simply stop and leave that bakery because there are no more bakeries in the world and no other baker will ever do and so you, your self-loathing little self will continue to destroy yourself until you have had every last crumb they could give you and you perish outside that bakery that held the best baker in the world...
